The experience of a lifetime. Your session will be a lot of fun for you and all the members of your family. I encourage smaller children to play, sing, dance, jump... to be themselves. These are the moments where your children's personalities shine through, and I can capture true emotion and smiles. I encourage couples to connect, Seniors to to be themselves. Photography is so much more than capturing beautiful images, it is about capturing emotion. It’s an experience. I’ll be with you every step of the way to guide you through the process from start to finish. Every detail will be carefully thought out with you and your family in mind. It is my goal to give you the one-on-one attention that you deserve, from the first in-person consultation, to the moment I hand-deliver your final products. I will take care of all the details, from helping you with your family's wardrobe, right down to where at in your home you will display your heirloom artwork. If you need help hanging your finished pieces, I’ll even help with that too!
1) In-Person Consultation
We meet for coffee (did I mention, on me?), get to know another, and find out what your needs are. While at your consultation we will create what will be your perfect portrait session. I will ask you to complete a pre-session questionnaire, which asks about your goals for the session, how you plan to display your images, your style of home decor, personal style, color schemes in your home, and any information you can give me about your family. I want to know all about your personalities, likes/dislikes, funny things your kids do, how you and your spouse met, and what makes your family special. This helps me to plan the session of your dreams, find out what is important to you, and go over all the details of your session... like what to wear and which location will be best suited for your family. This is the part of the process that will ensure your session is a wonderful experience and enables me to create the perfect images for you.
2) Your Portrait Session
Now is the time you relax, be yourself, and have fun as I capture the moments you will cherish for years to come. Sessions can be captured on location or in studio on select days. Sessions with me are natural, relaxed, and fun! You will be surprised at how quickly the time will go by and how easily I will guide you into the natural posing that your family already does and is comfortable with. I will provide you with gentle prompts and direction when needed, and capture all the genuine emotion and interaction between your family. Have fun playing, singing, dancing, jumping, snuggling, tickling and telling secrets. I will take care of all the rest.
3) Reveal and Order Session
Around two weeks after your portrait session, we will meet and you will view your images using my state of the art software. Your images will be presented to you through a storytelling slideshow. Together we will go through your images, pick favorites, and then make final decisions on what images and products will look best in your home, what to gift to family and friends, and heirloom album options. Seeing your images come to life in print, and becoming a priceless piece of artwork in your home is the most rewarding part of the process.
4) Portrait Delivery
Around three to four weeks later, your customized art will ready for delivery. I will give you a call and we will make arrangements for me to hand-deliver your portraits. Your portraits will be delivered wrapped or in a stylish box to protect your images during transport. If you need help with installation, I will personally help myself or gladly provide someone to do the installation for you, complimentary.
